This program allows an eligible veteran to buy a home with absolutely nothing out-of-pocket.

Most banks will have a 620 minimum credit score. This programs best use is for eligible service members and legal spouse to buy a 1-to-4-unit property home with no down payment. The rates are generally lower than Conventional loans and there is absolutely no monthly PMI payment. The overall guidelines are more flexible in all areas including credit, assets, and income requirements.

Veterans Administration allows for a minimum of 580 credit score with 100% LTV and 500 credit score with 90% LTV. However, most banks will set their own overlaying minimum requirements. Using the pricing engine will allow you to know which banks will allow these lower credit score scenarios.
